There's nothing wrong with checking up on your antivirus software, and HitmanPro makes an easy job of it.
It's not a big drawback, but some software allows you to decide whether to automatically upload files to the cloud or scan your computer every day at startup before initiating the first scan. You'll have to change any default settings you don't want before you hit that button because there's no way to alter any settings once it initiates the scan. Settings: As soon as you open HitmanPro, there's a Next button, which immediately starts the scan. Quick scans: The initial scan took less than three minutes, and even though it will vary from PC to PC, that's a quick turnaround. Plays nicely with others: HitmanPro 3 doesn't need to be installed to work but even when we opted for installation, there were no issues with our current antivirus program. HitmanPro 3 (64-bit) doesn't claim to be the primary solution for your PC security needs, but it does add another layer of malware protection and what the publishers describe as a "second opinion" to see if your computer is infected and help you remove any unwanted files.
